Romance and Fantasie - Benefit Concert for The Love4Lucas Foundation

Thank you for supporting us in our efforts to raise awareness of DIPG, a rare and deadly form of pediatric brain cancer with no known causes or cures.

The Love4Lucas Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in honor of our friend's son, Lucas Harashima. Lucas was diagnosed with DIPG.

All donations will be carefully applied towards innovative research to improve survival rates for children who are diagnosed with DIPG. Lucas died in 2018, at the age of 6, and we continue to keep him in our hearts. We'd like to dedicate this concert and contributions in his sweet memory.

Please join us for Love4Lucas' 4th Annual 5k Run/Walk/Bike Event to support the Love4Lucas Foundation!

Our 2023 5K event is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Just go 5K (3.1 miles) ANYWHERE and ANYTIME from Saturday, October 28 - Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Thanks to our supporters, we raised almost $30,000 in 2020, $40,000 in 2021, and $40,000 in 2022. Your generosity allowed us to donate 100% of the proceeds to research organizations dedicated to finding a cure for DIPG. In 2022, we donated $50,000 to the Children's Brain Tumor Project. CBTP has been using the funds to directly support their focus on targeted therapy and drug delivery approaches.

In 2021-2022, we donated $50,000 to the DIPG/DMG Collaborative, which funds both clinical and translational research.

On September 17, 2016, at the age of 5, Lucas was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). DIPG is an aggressive brain tumor that affects children between the ages of 4 and 11 and interferes with all bodily functions. Lucas died on March 21, 2018, just a few months shy of his 7th birthday.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Love4Lucas Foundation's mission to fund research towards a cure for DIPG and to support families battling DIPG. Unfortunately, the prognosis for DIPG remains very poor.
